My Resolution
As another year comes to a close, I pride myself in already having the majority of books on the "Best of 2011" lists. One of my strengths is staying on top of what's out there and getting those books in the library. One of my weaknesses: reading them. I know, I know, a librarian who doesn't read?! GASP! I LOVE LOVE LOVE to read, but between working all day and coming home to wrestle two kiddos, I have a hard time finding time to read. Or I did. I recently realized that I have the same amount of hours in a day as everyone else. My problem: I don't MAKE the time to read. So. . . one of my New Year's resolutions is to read a book a week. Maybe more, but I'm just committing right now to one. :) And to help me stick to it, I'm blogging a book talk every week. I have a feeling if I don't get it done, middle school students won't mind pointing it out. (Ha! One of the many reasons I love them!) Happy New Year and here's to 52 weeks of books!!!
